Great night out
Fantastic place, would imagine during the summer it's packed due to the location. My trip was a winter one.
Went for staff party in mid December. Food was nice but the service was bad. I know there was 300+ being served a meal so it takes time but me being in the catering business for so many years I know how long it would have taken our chefs and waiting staff to serve per course. We were one of the last tables to be served and we were waiting about 45mins a course. If we did that time of service in the hotel I worked in we would be hammered by our bosses. Also alcohol was ridiculously expensive.
Nice and clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Plenty parking, but can imagine that it will get pretty busy on big race days at the racecourse.
One of your hotel Staff, Janice, went above and beyond in her efforts to be of service.I was sick and could not talk well due to laryngitis. On her own initiative, without any requests for help, she heard my voice and she took off her management jacket, got some real lemons and honey from the kitchen, and prepared a honey and lemon juice drink for me to sip on the rest of the night and next day. It did seem to help! Janice's efforts and kindness went above and beyond. Please give her my thanks and gratitude for making me feel like I was at home and cared for when feeling under the weather!
