Lots of things to see and learn about. Many rooms with different exhibits. Small cafe.Very good amenity in town. Great lecture about J M W Turner and his paintings of Wolverhampton and Dudley.
Just the place to spend a few hours in warm, away from this terrible wintry weather ! I can however recommend that the museum does have a very good collection of oil paintings and engraving's ! Also there are some Roman artefacts and lots of other articles ! I recommend a visit.
Usually a good way to see art for free but the curating shifts in quality. The permanent collections are excellent.
It's really commendable how a relatively small city council gives such importance to art. Good stuff on display -- mostly by upcoming artists... quiet atmosphere... good cafeteria on the first floor. A rather heartwarming statue of Gandhi, perhaps the tallest figure of Indian Freedom Movement, on display.
Really enjoyed an hour wandering around the gallery. Great temporary exhibition and some lovely old pieces too. All free to see. I would've stayed longer than an hour if I'd had time!
